Different from the normal size laptop, the Asus Eee PC is a mini, low-cost laptop that falls into the UMPC (Ultra-Mobile PC) category. With a 7-inch wide screen, this device weight only 2-pound which makes it incredibly portable. The spec of the Asus Eee laptop includes a low-end Intel Mobile CPU, 512MB of RAM, a 2GB/4GB/8GB solid-state flash hard drive, and a Linux operating system preloaded with some useful applications (ie. Firefox, Oppenoffice, generic media player, instant messaging client, and a handful of pre-installed casual games). Currently, the pink color laptop is available only for the 2GB and 4GB among the Asus Eee PC series.
The Asus Eee PC is not suitable for everyone. The low-end processor, tiny hard drive space, and lack of the Windows OS is enough to scare away many potential users. But if you are the one who is looking for a highly portable laptop used solely for web surfing and office works, this will be one of the machine that you will want to consider.
